Te Kinga walk

On Thursday the 8th of April the Te Kinga class climbed Mt Te Kinga. We had a great time and it was my first time climbing it. We climbed up to the third lookout, and it looked AMAZING from up there. We had to go through mud, tree roots and we had to go over or under all the fallen trees. Lots of us got muddy shoes and boots but it was fine. We had to travel in our groups that we got given. I was with Solomon, Flynn and Deklan and my Mum Annette was our leader. At the lookouts we could see the lake and it looked dazzling. Lots of parents came as well. We had Liz, Di, Annette, Suzanne, Alice and Ally. Then we went back down and we had a refreshing swim in the lake after a big climb. Then we made fire for Solomon's lesson for science. We had to dig the hole and then we put newspaper, wood, flax and egg cartons to make the fire. Me and Leo made our fire and we roasted marshmallows and they were very yum. And then we did Solomon's lesson and we put coal in the fire and we would see what would happen. Our coal was making popping noises and was starting to crisp. We then drove back and that was it. Here are some photos of my day.
