My natural disaster writing

 In my class we have been doing narrative writing about natural disasters. We write a draft in our book and then we acted it out so it made sense. It has been really fun listening to other peoples writing. Here's a trailer I wrote for my writing. "It was a normal day at Lake Brunner School". Crack Bang! We ran to the field outside and a hole was forming in the ground. "RUN"! We ran to the fence and jumped on it as we were about to get burned. "We were so close to being safe". My favourite sentence in my story is, "We thought we were safe but then something terrible happened"!

What is the value of sport and physical education?

 I think sport and physical education is so important for lots of reasons. Firstly I think that sport is important because it is so much fun and it keeps you active and you get really fit and learn how to work as a team. I think physical education is very important because it teaches you how to be healthy and the basic stuff like how to throw a ball properly. Its so important to be healthy so you can be fit. Lately I've been doing a lot of sport and it has really helped with me getting fitter and having lots of fun. I've been doing athletics, top team and swimming sports. Our Geology learning

 In Te Kinga we have been learning about Geology and the three main types rocks. There is Igneous, Metamorphic and Sedimentary. An Igneous rock is a rock that has been formed in or outside of a volcano. A Metamorphic rock is a rock that has been changed by intense heat or pressure. A Sedimentary rock is a rock that has layers of different rocks/sand that it has collected over time. Sedimentary rocks can be formed by deserts, lakes, rivers and oceans. That's what we in Te Kinga have been learning about in our science time.

Why mistakes are important for learning?

 I think mistakes are important for learning because they help you in the future. They help you with life skills and when you are doing important stuff like, tests, sport, jobs, and just everyday things. I remember when I was at Solomon's house and I couldn't catch the eel in the net and it escaped and we lost the eel. And now I know to just take it slow and steady and get it in the net. Mistake's are also very fun and they are really funny.
